Fasting is a tradition done to please God, by keeping control and curb to one’s desires. In fasting devotees refrain themselves from regular food. During this period fruits or non-cereal food are consumed. Fasting is generally done when there is any occasion, so at that time demand for fruits in the market gets increased. So to curb the demand, farmers inject chemicals so that the fruits ripen fast and reach the market as quick as possible. So due to this many health problems occur such as vomiting, dryness in the mouth and stomach ache. People need to select the fruits that are non seasonal because the fruits that are in demand like water melons, papayas and pineapples are seasonal fruits so to grow them up farmers use chemicals.
